The corpse of the corpse is about to bloom

With only a few days left, the "corpse flower" at the University of Cornell (USA) will bloom and create a strong stench, like the smell of rotting flesh.

The dead flower at Cornell University, USA, is called "Wee Stinky" . The people working at the school garden are preparing for this plant to bloom for weeks now, they said the flower can bloom at any time, Livecience reported.

The exotic flower is Amorphophallus titanum (titanium arum) , which originates from equatorial tropical forests in Sumatra, Indonesia. A titanium arum flower will not bloom until about 10 years old. Since the first flowering, the next flowering will take place for several years, the flowering time only occurs 24 to 48 hours before it dies.

The gardener at Cornellm University planted a dead flower tree at the age of 1 in 2002. The flower plant was taken care of and developed rapidly. Up to now, the flower is 1.8 meters tall and is about to bloom again. The first and the last time, the tree blooms on March 18, 2012. More than 10,000 visitors came and admired it for 5 days.

When blooming, the flower tree looks like a single giant flower. Purple petals like an outer dress are called mo, while the pointed tip in the middle is called a cotton.

The flower actually made up of thousands of small flowers, called botanical flowers by botanists. The stench of flowers attracts many pollinators like beetles that eat meat and flies.
