The dog understands the owner through the eyes
A recent study shows that, in the process of eye contact, dogs besides their ability to understand like a two-year-old child, they even 'read' the person's enthusiasm, feeling Get meaning and why they talk to them, said Dr. Jszsef Topal from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
Experts conducted the test using a video that captures the image of a person saying: 'Hey, dog!' with different tones and levels of eye expression.
In the first case, the person looks straight at the dog, telling it in a high-pitched voice. In contrast, the second case uses a low-pitched voice while avoiding eye contact. They found that dogs were more likely to notice when the first person expressed his intention to communicate.
'This is the first time scientists are interested in the eyes when studying the social skills of dogs,' Topal added.
