The first beer for cancer patients

Non-alcoholic drinks, containing lots of vitamins, are prepared with a sweeter taste for cancer patients who suffer from taste damage due to chemotherapy.

This special beer was invented by Jana Drexlerova , CEO of Mamma Help - a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting breast cancer women in the Czech Republic and her colleague Tereza Sverakova.

Sverakova has undergone harsh chemotherapy when suffering from breast cancer. More than anyone else, she understood the terrible side effects of chemotherapy. In addition to causing nausea, hair loss, and chemotherapy also affect her taste, making food and drink taste bitter, salty, bland and unpleasant odors.

Mamma beer does not contain alcohol and is supplemented with many nutrients such as vitamin B, potassium . allowing cancer patients to treat it as a dish. In particular, this type of beer is prepared with a sweeter taste to drown out the bitter taste, compensate for the side effects of chemotherapy on taste, helping to increase the taste for patients. Beer can help patients pass chemotherapy more easily.

The creators of Mamma beer said that they were surprised by the great attention of many oncologists from major hospitals. The taste of beer also received praise from famous beer experts.

This beer is introduced to many cancer patients and beer festivals throughout the Czech Republic. The creative group is seeking to produce and distribute Mamma beer, meeting the growing demand from many other customers."The proceeds from the beer sale will be for psychological and social support for other cancer patients," Drexlerova said.
