The first child born in vitro was pregnant
Louise Brown, the world's first in vitro fertilized baby, is expecting her own child.
Louise Brown - Louise Brown ( born in Shenzhen Daily) Louise Brown was born on July 25, 1978, after her parents John and Lesley spent nine years trying to give birth. Her birth brought hope for infertile couples.
And since then millions of children have been born in vitro fertilization, including the second child of John and Lesley named Natalie, now 20 years old.
Louise, 27, and her husband, security officer, Wesley Mullinder, are anxiously waiting for the birth of their own child, conceived naturally. The child will be born in January next year.
The couple living in the suburbs of Bristol caused a stir when they married in September 2004. "We really want to have our own children and hope not to use IVF," Louise said.
Mullinder, 36, said: "Now we are really happy when Louise is pregnant."
Louise added: "I used to think I was a special person. I was always obsessed with how I was born when I was 10-11 years old, but now I don't think anymore because there are so many. so many children are born like that, now I just focus on my life.
