The first solar cell cleaning robot was born
Japantimes reported on March 26 that a Japanese company named Miraikikai Inc. announced the world's first solar cell cleaning robot.
The battery pack will be cleaned without using water
Solar panels need to be kept clean regularly to prevent sand and dust from reducing power output. With this automated robot device, the panels will be cleaned without the use of water.
This product test has been developed by Miraikikai University of Kagawa. Robot weighs 11kg with the width, height and height are 72cm, 43cm, 22cm.
Miraikikai is expected to launch its products in 2014. The company wants to focus on the Middle East and Africa markets, where demand for solar energy is growing and water availability is scarce.
