Stupid because cleaning the toilet, don't worry because there are robots to help you

When mentioning the list of jobs that you feel the most uncomfortable, cleaning the toilet is the "scary" job first? So why not assign this job to a robot?

That's exactly what the engineering team from Koblenz-Landau University (Germany) thinks about. The team named the team Homer demonstrated the first toilet cleaning robot at World Robot Summit in Japan. This innovative robot still needs improvement in many ways and if there is a complete product in the future, many people will be willing to hook their purse to own it.

The robot arm is quite flexible.

"We use a mobile robot research platform called PAL Robotics TIAGO and this toilet cleaning robot is equipped with an arm to skillfully grasp, the first part contains 1 RGB-D camera to detect people, toilet or toilet seat, a microphone for voice recognition and mobile steering wheel to move around the house, " said Raphael Memmesheimer, a graduate student at Koblenz University, when interviewing Digital Trends.

This robot has the ability to access the toilet, clean the pedestal with a cleaning cloth and the surrounding floor, and even pick up small pieces of toilet paper. It will end the process by cleaning the floor.

In the present time the robot is not really quick in tasks but this is not necessary unless you are the hotel owner who wants it to clean the toilet of 30 rooms before the break. However, this is just a demonstration template that promises to be popular in every home in the next few decades, just like how the robot vacuums surprised us by its advantages. In particular, the introduction of toilet cleaning robots and robotic folding machines made us come closer to the dream of a maid robot like Rosie in The Jetsons animation which was released in 1962.

Rosie has the ability to clean up most chores.

Unfortunately, in the near future, it will not happen easily. Memmesheimer said: "The robots we programmed are only at the experimental level and we want to clarify the ability to solve tasks with it."

However, the group is also interested in working with companies that want to develop more affordable robots that can perform a variety of tasks. Memmesheimer said: "Currently, robots with arms are quite expensive to target ordinary users . " He added, "The first use case may be in public places such as airports or shopping centers. Multi-function service robots with affordable prices will likely be provided to popular customers. in the future ".

Of course, this also raises another question: If at some point the machine really took over, who would be the nominee to tell the princess that the humans had forced their ancestors to rub? wash . toilet?
