The frozen waterfalls in the record cold winter in the United States

Cold weather is unusually cold with a record low temperature.

The waterfall in Cloudland Canyon Park, Georgia, froze partially on January 4, according to MSN. Other cold winters cause snow to cover many areas that rarely snow in this state.

Waterfall in Letchworth Park

The waterfall in Letchworth Park, New York, froze when the temperature dropped deep on January 2. John Kucko, who posted the video, said the temperature was around -9 degrees Celsius.

Minnehaha Waterfall

Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis, Minnesota, turned into ice in the record cold winter in America. Authorities recommend that people should not approach this area to prevent falling ice. This 16-meter-high waterfall freezes completely on December 28 under negative weather.

Quechee Gorge waterfall

The majority of Quechee Gorge waterfall in Vermont, freezing on December 29 when the night temperature dropped deeply. The stream of water turned into white ice creating a very interesting and beautiful sight.

 

Clusters of Niagara Falls between Canada and the US border froze partly due to the record cold wave in this area. The video filmed on January 2 shows the magnificent view of the waterfall cluster seen from above. The temperature that the human body feels at the waterfall area is sometimes down to -67 degrees C.

Niagara Falls consists of three Horseshoe, American and Bridal Veil waterfalls. There are more than 3,000 tons of water flowing through Niagara Falls every second, according to USA Today. In 2015, this waterfall also encountered a freezing phenomenon partly due to the extremely cold weather.
