The giant death hole appeared in Thanh Hoa

Many local households have to move their assets to ensure safety, after the "death hole" is about 15m wide, more than 25m deep appears in Quy Loc commune (Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa).

About 4 am on October 28, "death hole" suddenly appeared on the inter-village road 2, Quy Loc commune (Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa). At first, the crater was only about 1.5m wide, but after a few hours, the crater continued to expand and there was no sign of stopping.

'I'm sleeping in the house when I hear a loud "roar". Hurrying the flashlight, I rushed to the yard when I discovered a deep hole in the ditch next to the wall of the family. The crater is so deep. Many blocks of rocks and trees were also pulled to the ground ' , Mr. Duong Duc Hien (58), near the scene told PV.

People then reported the incident to the local government. The motor vehicles are now banned from entering the area, the electricity grid is cut.

The mouth of 'death hole' has been wider than 15m, deeper than 25m and is continuing to sink. Half of the inter-village roads were also taken away. Thankfully, there are no casualties on people.

According to the local people, the area appeared death hole, which was originally an ancient land from ancient times."A dozen years of living, people have never witnessed such a strange phenomenon, so many people are very anxious," said a man at the scene.

Near noon the same day, Quy Loc commune authorities asked households to live around the relocation area. The militia and local police are guarding the crater to ensure safety.

Hundreds of local people continue to drag to village 2 to observe firsthand the death hole.

In the afternoon of October 28, exchanging with PV, Mr. Le Vu Lam, Vice Chairman of Yen Dinh District People's Committee said that the District People's Committee is asking functional departments to find out the causes and take the earliest remedies.

"In the short term, the government has allowed the elderly, children and property to be relocated to a safe place, after which the plan will deal with this unusual incident," Lam said.
