The human mind was re-sketched beautifully

Those who have seen the mind? It is not that you or any neurologist can open the invisible, powerful and erratic secret like the wind of the human mind.

For decades, scientists have had modern techniques to explore the unexplored part of the brain, which is the mind, expressed through thoughts, emotions, endurance . However, this work is still too much for average-sized scientists.

Carl Schoonover , 27, approached this challenge as a Ph.D. in neuroscience in Columbia. He redeemed ordinary readers with beautiful images of the mind through a book just titled " Portrait of the mind: Visualizing the brain from the old to the 21st century " (' Portraits of the Mind: Visualizing the Brain From Antiquity to the 21st Century '.

Here is a picture section in the book.

Picture 1 of The human mind was re-sketched beautifully
Purkinje cerebellum neuron, 2003. This image shows part of the cerebellum, of which only one type of neuron - Purkinje cell.

Picture 2 of The human mind was re-sketched beautifully
Chick Retina, 2008. This photomicrograph of this retina uses a dye antibody, which exploits the subtle accuracy and sensitivity of antibodies to recognize specific biological molecules. At the top of the image is the retinal receptor cell (gray) - that rod and cone shape captures photons of light and translates them into electrical signals that the brain can understand.

Picture 3 of The human mind was re-sketched beautifully
Rabies, 2005.

Picture 4 of The human mind was re-sketched beautifully
Cellular network, 1995. This image shows single somatic neurons and branch branches (orange, in the center) and its dense branches (yellow). The blue background represents neighboring neurons, showing the overall structure of the brain region.

Picture 5 of The human mind was re-sketched beautifully
Cerebellum, 2007. The brain cells of the brain are small, complex and very dense. This makes it extremely difficult to "talk" to neighbor cells and understand how they are connected.

Picture 6 of The human mind was re-sketched beautifully
Neocortex, 2007. This is a small part of neocortex, the outer layer of the brain.
