The iron hammer of 140 million years challenges scientists

The hammer was estimated to have been created in the early Cretaceous period, ie 140 to 65 million years ago.

This seemingly normal hammer made it difficult for scientists. The metal part of the hammer has a length of 15cm and a diameter of about 3 inches. It was sunk in limestone dating back 140 million years, along with other pieces of stone.

Emma Hahn discovered this miracle in June 1934 in a quarry near the American town, Texas.

Experts have examined, and come to a conclusion: it's a prank. However, later studies with different academic investigations have shown it to be more complicated than previously thought.

First, the wooden handle was petrified, and inside turned into coal for millions of years. Secondly, experts at Metallurgical, Columbus (Ohio) Academy were amazed with the soiled chemical compound: 96.6% iron, 2.6% Chlorine and 0.74% sulfur, and no impurities. Whereas pure iron has never been discovered in the history of metals on earth.

In metal parts no metals are found in the steel manufacturing industry (such as manganese, cobalt, nickel, tungsten, vanadium or molybdenum). There are no impurities, and the percentage of chlorine is unusually large. Surprisingly, there are no traces of carbon, while Earth's magnetic iron ore always contains carbon and other impurities.

Overall, according to modern observations, the iron part of the hammer is not a high quality type. But the special part is: the iron of this hammer does not rust! There are no signs of corrosion.

Dr. KEBafa, director of the Museum of Mineral Antiquities, holding this hammer estimated that it was created in the early Cretaceous period, ie from 140 to 65 million years ago.

Meanwhile, the level of human science that can make this tool is only 10,000 years ago. Dr. Hans-Joachim Tsilmer from Germany concluded for this mysterious discovery: the hammer is made from an unprecedented technology.
