The lipstick made from 3600 year old animal heart buried with mummy
Scientists discovered many cosmetic products dating back to the early Bronze Age, made from the hearts of cattle that were buried according to women in China.
According to the International Business Times, the team found red wax bars in the Xiaohe cemetery (1450 - 1980 BC) in the northwest of Xinjiang, China. The findings were published Jan. 28 in Scientific Reports.

The red iron powder coated ingots, one of the most commonly used red pigments to paint on human skulls in Bronze Age. According to scientists, discoveries are important both culturally and faithfully.
"These cosmetic ingots can be used as a primitive wax for make-up and painting. For the first time we know how to make cosmetics with the heart of cattle. That doesn't just reveal how. using a variety of animals but also showing special belief functions , "the team said.
The long bars are anomalously taken from some women's graves in the cemetery. They were in leather bags near the waist of the mummy."Most of the mummies of women are buried with leather bags, wooden penis and wooden combs. These items are always close to the mummy belt and the wooden penis is a symbol of fertility rituals. Cosmetic bars in the leather bag and used to paint the red lines on the mummy's forehead , "the team concluded.

Painting or tattooing on people's faces directly expresses cultural implications. Because cosmetic bars are buried with women, this indicates they play a special role in religious activities.
