This 58-year-old man in Los Angeles (USA) also lives like any other person with a career in cable TV programming. Petrella's extraordinary memory was discovered when he participated in a memorandum of study of the University of California last year.

The team thinks he suffers from hyperthymestia syndrome, meaning that memory develops too much. So far, only four cases of Petrella have been detected throughout the United States. Scientists have not yet explained the cause of excessive memory development.

When asked, Petrella mentioned the day he met his first girlfriend. "It's Sussan Angelo. We met on February 18, 1981. That day was Wednesday . " In addition, he insisted that he could recount all the conversations he had made during the past 53 years. All of Petrella's friends admitted he remembered his friends' past more than they did.

Petrella discovered extraordinary memory ability since elementary school. Back then he did easy tests without studying at home. 'I am aware of my special ability but do not want to let others know. Although I couldn't explain it, I was used to it. I remember the events most clearly when they made me excited, like sports matches, dates and speeches of politicians. I can even remember all the phone numbers I recorded , ' Petrella said.

Many people will panic if they lose their phone because they save the phone numbers in it. But Petrella doesn't save any phone numbers in the phone. He put them in his head. He remembers all the birthdays and the first day of the new year since he was 5 years old. He can remember the names of Oscar winners since 1971 and the results of each rugby match.

Experts try his memorization with 60 questions that only people with superior memory can answer. Such as:

- Do you remember the match between Steelers and Dallas on August 31, 1997?

- It was a Sunday. The match was 37-7, Petrella answered immediately.

- Where and when did Palestinian warriors massacre Israeli athletes?

- Munich, September 5, 1972.

- Who won the Oscar for the best supporting actress in 1977?

- Jane Alexander, Piper Laurie, Jodie Foster and Lee Grant.

- On March 30, 1981, what special event?

- President Ronald Reagan was shot. The Indiana state basketball team defeated the North Carolina state team to win the NCAA championship.

Petrella is one of 2,000 people who participated in the University of California study of memory and cognitive abilities. He was one of four people with extraordinary extraordinary memories that experts discovered. The first person they found was Jill Price, a woman who also lives in Los Angeles.
