The mysterious 'eternal darkness' on the Moon

NASA experts have recently published a picture that shows the "dark side" image on the Moon - something that people on Earth never see.

We know that, if viewed from Earth, we can only see one side of the Moon. At any time, the Moon is always on Earth, while the other side we don't see - is called the dark side of the Moon.

Recently, however, NASA experts have published dynamic images showing the Moon's "dark side" and the looming image of the Earth in the picture.

The picture of the Moon's other angles was recorded by Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter - NASA's moon-flying spacecraft.

NASA recorded images show that the other side of the surface has quite different terrains. One of the interesting points discovered by experts is the giant crater known as the Ocean of Stroms - the remnant of a massive collision between some asteroid and the Moon. This collision leaves a giant black hole, which is 3,000 km wide on the Moon's surface.

Along with that, the image of the Earth appeared - moving in figure 8.

With this animation, if we imagine the Earth and the Moon in a straight line, we can look at the full picture of the Moon but above Earth, it's just a faint crescent.

The image captures the Moon's dark side in 1969 and 2009. With the development of new technology, the image of the Moon becomes clearer.

Not only black holes, experts also found that many craters formed on this dark surface. However, with this image, experts hope to learn more about the "eternal dark part" of the Moon.
