The North has tornadoes and hail
While the North has wide-area showers, even hail and local tornadoes, the South and Central Highlands are also forecast to have showers at the end of the week.
According to the Central Hydrometeorology Center, on the night of April 24 and early morning yesterday, April 25, cold air spilled over to the north of the North and the North Central, affecting most of the Northern North and some places in Central Central Vietnam, causing heavy rain and thunderstorms, some places with heavy rain.

Rainfall as of April 25 in popular localities ranges from 10-50 mm, some higher places like Hanoi 53 mm, TX Tay Tay 63 mm, Bac Ninh City 66 mm, Tinh Gia (Thanh Hoa) 79 mm, Quỳnh Lưu (Nghệ An) 72 mm. The temperature of the above areas decreases from 5-10 o C, the sky changes clearly.
The Gulf of Tonkin has a strong north-east wind of level 6-7, jerking over level 7, the sea is strong. In the mainland, strong winds of level 3-4, coastal areas level 5. In thunderstorms, there are strong whirlwinds.
Bac Can, wind level 10
Due to the influence of the northeast monsoon combined with the high west wind convergence, from 17:30 - 18:30 pm on April 24, Bac Can province has heavy showers and thunderstorms. In Cho Don district, there are dense tornadoes and hail, diameters from 2-3 cm; strong winds of level 7, level 8, stronger than a level of sea wind. Even more, the wind beats up to level 10.
There are 12/18 communes in the district with tornadoes and hail, of which the most severe is Yen Thinh commune with 80% of houses being unroofed. In the communes of Yen Thuong, Ban Thi, Dai Xao, Yen Nhuan, Bang Lung, Phuong Vien and Dong Vien towns, many houses are damaged, hundreds of hectares of rice and crops are collapsed and crushed. Many big trees, electric poles and phones were broken.
Today, April 26, cold air continues to affect the Northwestern North and other parts of Central Vietnam. The northern provinces of our country are cool until the end of the week.
Southern and Central Highlands showers on weekends
Southern and Central Highlands are in the most hot and sunny days from the beginning of the season. However, there are signs that hot sun is about to end, the rainy season is approaching. Due to the influence of tropical convergence band combined with turbulence, from April 28, these areas will start to show thunderstorms and thunderstorms.
These are seasonal rains, signaling the end of the dry season, the rainy season is about to begin. It is forecasted that the early days of May will appear southwest wind with humid air from the Bay of Bengal and southern hemisphere into the South China Sea and the South and Central Highlands.
Rain will first appear in the western provinces, the Eastern borders Cambodia, then move to the rest. About after 10-15 May, the rainy season will come to most of the Southern region and the Central Highlands. Meteorological agency warns, must guard against tornadoes, lightning and hail.
