The North Pole monster can bite the Hummer car

The huge fossil skeleton size of the newly discovered sea monster in the Arctic shows that its bite is much more powerful than the notorious tyrannical dinosaur and is capable of crushing a Hummer terrain.

This marine reptile is up to 15 meters long and weighs about 45 tons. Part of its skull was dug up by the Norwegian team at the Svalbard Peninsula of the Arctic, last summer. The skull is about 3 meters long with 30 cm long teeth. This animal is nicknamed Predator X, once wandering the oceans about 150 million years ago.

According to scientists, Predator X's jaw bone is dozens of times more violent than Tyrannosaurus rex. Predator X is thought to be a new species of pliosaur, a large and short group of reptiles that live in the same time as dinosaurs. This species is quite massive, but the size of the new skeleton found in the Arctic still shocked the scientists.

Predator X's length exceeds a mound of lizard named "The Monster", also discovered in Svalbard a year earlier. The commander of the expedition to find Predator X, Jorn Harald Hurum (of the University of Oslo), said The Monster was big enough to chew a small car, while the Predator X skeleton showed it could crushed a Hummer car, a General Motors car.

Meanwhile, the record of the largest marine reptile found still belongs to the fish lizard (ichthyosaur) named Shonisaurus sikanniensis 21 meters long, excavated in British Columbia province, Canada.
