Scientists are studying the DNA patterns of skeletons dating back to about 430,000 years and it is likely that we must re-examine human evolution with this discovery.
Researchers are trying to re- assemble part of the DNA of some skeletons dating to about 430,000 years found in northern Spain. This new discovery once confirmed to be accurate can help us redraw the human evolutionary map , including ancient humans - our ancestors today.
Beginning in 1997, archaeologists unearthed remains of about 28 skeletons dating to about 430,000 years from the Sima de los Huesos cave in northern Spain, or "bone hole" . From intact skulls, the team thinks that these are early Neanderthal species on Earth and the ancestors of the ancient people 100,000 years later.
Evidence through DNA decoding has recently shown that skeletons found in Spain are not the ancestors of all humans, but are certainly of the Neanderthals with the characteristics of thick eyebrows and wide jaws. . The researchers also found a close relationship between Neanderthals and Denisovas (their fossils are found in Siberia).
If these findings are correct, the time that our ancestors separated from Neanderthals and Denisovans could be delayed by hundreds of thousands of years. Previous genetic studies have shown that our ancestors separated from the Neanderthal-Denisovans around 315,000 and 540,000 years ago. But if the Neanderthals existed 430,000 years ago, it would mean that humans were separated from their ancestors much earlier, perhaps as early as 750,000 years ago (according to researchers' calculations).
This has profound implications for our origins . It is quite possible that Homo was not our ancestors and it was not until 50,000 after the modern man and the Neanderthal-Denis people separated, evolution began.
Of course there are still many mysteries that people need to continue to clarify. For example, why do the bones found in the bones show the sign of the Nova-Denisova?
