The situation got worse on the morning of October 16, when Jia Jia could not walk and just lay all day, the park representative said. Doctors decided to make an injection of an ejaculation so that the panda wouldn't suffer.

Jia Jia was born in 1978 in Sichuan Province, China and was brought to Hong Kong in 1999 to mark the event that Britain returned this special zone two years earlier. Usually the wild pandas live for 20 years and the captive bears live for about 25 years.
