The plane carrying 66 people from Egypt is missing

Flight number MS804, departing from Charles De Gaulle airport, Paris, at 23:00 on May 18 (4:09 am Hanoi) to Cairo has disappeared from the radar screen , CNN has posted information posted on the EgyptAir company Twitter for know.

The MS804 disappeared from the radar while carrying 56 passengers and a crew of 10.

According to an announcement from EgyptAir, the plane lost contact with the radar at 2:45 am (745 pm on May 19, Hanoi time) at an altitude of more than 11 km and entered the Egyptian airspace for 16 km. A search and rescue campaign is underway.

Flightradar 24 said the MS804 flight using Airbus A320-232 aircraft , was launched in 2003. The final position of MS804 is above the Mediterranean, near Greece.

The Egyptian government and the French authorities have not commented on the case yet.

EgyptAir confirmed to have informed the relevant authorities about the missing plane. Egyptian rescue forces are working with Greek partners to locate the aircraft.

Al Arabiya reported that the Egyptian air force had been deployed to the plane area.

Meteorologist Michael Guy said conditions were normal when MS804 flew over the Mediterranean.

The Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority is collecting information about aircraft status before takeoff. Sky News Arabia quoted Ihab Raslan, the Egyptian Civil Aviation spokesman, saying the MS804 may have fallen into the sea.
