The reason we remember dreams after waking up
A recent study by French scientists has discovered, how we store dreams and give solutions why some people cannot recall their dreams the next morning.

French experts said they identified two types of dreams and only one of them could make us remember them. To understand the difference, a group of scientists led by Perrine Ruby, a specialist at Lyon's Neuroscience Research Center, conducted 41 experiments, divided into two groups. The researchers will use Positron emission (PET) to consider the brain activity of both groups.
The junction between the parietal lobe and the temporal lobe (TPJ) - an information processing center in the brain
Accordingly, they found that the area between the prefrontal cortex (mPFC ) and the junction between the parietal and temporal lobe (TPJ) is related to the orientation before external stimuli .
They are more active in people who are able to recall high dreams. This increased activity in the brain region is thought to be able to facilitate the dream coding process into memory while we sleep.
A study published in the journal Neuropsychopharmacology also showed that those who were able to recall high dreams had twice as many times to wake up while sleeping. Their brain also reacts more strongly to hearing stimuli during sleep and when awake.
Perrine Ruby, the leader of the study, said: "This increased brain response can promote nighttime wake-up behavior, which facilitates remembering dreams during brief awakening. in fact, the sleeping brain is incapable of memorizing new information, so it needs to be awakened to be able to do it. "
South Africa neurologist psychologist Mark Solms has observed and found that lesions in the brain regions of mPFC and TPJ have led to an end to reminiscent of dreams.
According to him, there is still a need to conduct further research because the discoveries of French experts point out there is a difference in remembering dreams but does not exclude the possibility that people with the ability to recall high dreams dream much. more than the other.
