The reindeer is as white as the dazed snow before the lens
Photographer Mads Nordsveen recorded young reindeer images with snow-white fur on a Norwegian mountain.
White reindeer appears in northern Norway.
A wild young reindeer with all-white body luckily entered the lens of Mads Nordsveen photographer on a trip in northern Norway, Dodo reported on December 6. The animal came out from a forest in the mountains and seemed to blend into the white snow.
The small reindeer is said to be only a few months old and actively approached photographers."It came very close to me and we looked straight into each other's eyes," shared Nordsveen. The animal was not afraid and proved very friendly. He looked curiously at the lens as if posing for a photograph.
The rare moment lasted a few minutes before the mother reindeer with brown fur appeared and the young reindeer left afterwards."He walked around us several times before running back to his mother. The moment was amazing! The animal was like stepping out from a fairy tale," the Nordsveen said.
The images taken by the Nordsveen show that the animal is not an albino case. Its white fur is caused by an inherited genetic mutation, causing all the hair to lose its pigmentation but the eye color remains the same. White reindeer is rare in nature and is considered a symbol of the luck in the culture of indigenous Sami people.
