It is estimated that more than 200,000 people come to the rivers where salmon migrate to see this amazing phenomenon. Locals even hold a Red Salmon festival every time it's the salmon migration season.

This is the strangest and most mysterious salmon in the world. They can live in many different environments such as salty, sweet, and brackish. When in the sea, they are not red at all, but silver and blue. An adult red salmon is up to 60-84cm long, weighs about 2.3-7kg.

Like many salmon species, they will return to their birthplace (returning distance is up to 1,600km) to lay eggs as well as end their life cycle (due to exhaustion after a long journey of not eating). completing this noble task.

Being able to go back to the exact birthplace of salmon is still a mystery to scientists. Many theories have been put forward, such as red salmon can navigate the old location using the characteristic smell of the river or thanks to the sun.
