A river in England has turned into a "bubble" due to contaminated soap from a nearby factory.

The Irwell River in Middleton, near Manchester now looks like a giant bath with ducks swimming on the water. Huge blocks of bubbles have covered the river, which is located next to a nature reserve.

The river with beautiful views on both sides now changes completely.

Walker John Purdy, 44, who lives near the river, exclaimed: "This is terrible! In the past, there was a beautiful natural landscape. I have never witnessed such a horrifying sight."

Condensed soap bubbles into a thick layer on the river surface.

This soap is believed to originate from a construction plant on the Irkwell River. The bubble flowed down the river, then flowed down the Irwell River to central Manchester. According to inspectors Department of Natural Resources, dead fish and dead ducks have been scattered across the river and sooner or later will affect the natural flow of the river,

A spokesman for Robert McBride company, said the chemical could be a white detergent or a cleaning solution. However, McBride said that the chemical did not necessarily slip out of their factory, although recently, the factory once confirmed that the water flowing from it leaked through the wall beneath the building.

McBride said: "The cause is still a secret. We are working with the environmental agency to verify both the origin and process of this chemical leak," he added.
