Many villages near the Ural Mountains are harassed by large flies every day as they fly through the sky."They cling to everything, people don't dare to go out , " a woman told a Russian TV station 1TV.

People describe the spectacle as "horror movies" when they have to scan buckets of dead flies every day. "One or two days is about to sweep a bucket of flies' corpses , " said one resident.

"It's horrible, flies are everywhere. If spraying insecticides is used, there's no air to breathe," the local TV station quoted another resident.

The fly invasion is thought to originate from an illegal farmer who consumes tons of chicken manure from a local farm for fertilizer , including millions of fly eggs.

Officials confirm that a criminal investigation is being conducted on the "use of environmentally hazardous waste".

Mr. Maxim Maksimox, owner of the poultry farm, admitted to supplying chicken manure for fertilizing but argued that it was very normal.

"Natural fertilizer is better than chemical. We are not lucky, because the weather is wet, high temperature makes flies grow fast," he said.

Maxim said he used canvas to cover his farm to prevent flies from continuing to lay eggs in the stool."If this doesn't work, we'll use agrochemicals," he said.

And Andrei Savchenko, a farmer who is thought to use fertilizers that lead to the epidemic of flies everywhere today, refuses to accept responsibility for the incident.

"Flies have existed for millions of years. They are everywhere. Naturally this phase doesn't know how much they are , " Andrei said.
