The second longest insect in the world is found in Vietnam

Belgian researchers have found strange insects up to 32cm in Vietnam. Up to now, this insect has the second longest in the world.

First, this is not a stick. This is a giant insect whose scientific name is Ph ryganistria heusii yentuensis recently discovered in Vietnam.

On the outside, insects are much larger in size than you imagine. The average size of insects is up to 32cm, each is up to 21cm long. Up to now, this is the second longest insect in the world found.

In Vietnam, this insect has a wild name called rod rod. The discovery was reported in the European Journal of Taxonomy by a group of serious researchers from the Belgian Royal Institute .

This species is only found in Vietnam, South China and Burma - places with a tropical climate. However, due to urbanization of the habitat of the rod species is threatened and gradually disappeared.

According to scientists' statistics, more than 750,000 different species of insects have been found in this area and about 1 million other insect species are unknown.
