The secret to fluoride's decay

German scientists have recently discovered how to fight cavities of fluoride, according to UPI news agency (USA).

It is fluoride that helps reduce the ability of the teeth to cause tooth decay, which can easily be removed by saliva or brushing teeth.

Research by German scientists describes how fluoride affects the adhesion force of bacteria, often sticking to teeth and producing acids that cause tooth decay.

Experiments conducted on dentures showed that fluoride reduced the adhesion of bacteria that cause tooth decay, said lead researcher Karin Jacobs.

Previous research has shown that fluoride acts to harden the enamel layer, thereby protecting teeth from acid caused by bacteria that cause tooth decay.

Later studies also found fluoride penetrated into the enamel and hardened the enamel layer.
