The space train travels from Earth to the Moon in two minutes

According to Forbes, Charles Bombardier, a famous engineer from Montreal, Canada, came up with the idea of designing a future train called Solar Express that can carry goods and passengers between space stations and celestial bodies in the universe.

Trains designed by Bombardier in collaboration with industrial engineer Olivier Péraldi will take advantage of the gravitational force to move between planets, maintaining the same movement of skating ramps.

The train consists of a series of 50m cylindrical compartments fitted with each other, each compartment is divided into 4 freight cars that can change positions through maintenance robots. Bombardier also conceived the idea of building a large city in the space around the axis of movement of the train with artificial gravity allowing people to travel and live there if the journey took several months.

The shape and function of each train can vary. The resting area is concentrated in the middle of the train, where gravity is less effective. The central part also has a weightless zone to perform experiments.

The train will depart into space thanks to the rocket and use reserve fuel to adjust the direction when needed. The speed of the train depends on the size and purpose of use, but can reach a maximum speed of up to 3,000 km / s, equivalent to 1% of the speed of light.

"In space, the most expensive stages in the process of moving are accelerating and decelerating. The energy needed to carry out these phases is extremely large, but when the ship reaches the speed of travel and consumption. "The energy will be at the lowest level, " Bombardier explained.

Not only did the rigid front and rear shields fit in, the train was also escorted by a fleet of unmanned aircraft armed with missiles and laser guns to destroy any meteor that threatened to deflect it.

Solar energy from panels placed in rows along the train's route can serve lighting and other electrical equipment, while water for passengers to use comes from comets and the moon."Water can also be used to create hydrogen and propellant fuel , " Bombardier said.

The maximum distance that the train can move is not limited. Bombardier plans the first trip to transport goods and passengers from the Earth to the Moon. At a speed of 3,000km / s, Solar Express only takes 2.13 minutes to reach the Moon.

"The moon acts as a launch pad for other projects, because it is easier to assemble and build trains in places without gravity. Mars is most likely a destination in the next phase. Follow, especially if humans can renovate the planet, " Bombardier said.
