Tonight, the tidal peak is estimated to reach about 1.38 m by the Sub-department of Irrigation and Flood Prevention in Ho Chi Minh City, the highest in the high tide in December but lower than the expected 1.47 m. The section of the dyke in Nam Soc in Thu Duc district also suffered a 7 m long break, making more than 10 hectares of agricultural land submerged in water level of 40 cm. 160 m of the remaining dike line of this section is also shaken, making district leaders request to review and upgrade before the Lunar New Year to fend off.

Water also overflows some embankment sections of neighborhoods 4, 5 and embankment area of ​​Dosaco Company, Thu Duc District, causing local flooding of 20-30 cm.

Leaders of districts and districts are mobilizing people to build broken dikes with cajuput material, bamboo poles . Expected to complete dyke filling before 12:00 on December 8.

Nam Hai dam, Go Vap district is also appearing with small cracks, causing some flooding but not significant. Therefore, the district is temporarily inserting cracks with sandbags, waiting for the flood tide to overhaul the dam cap.
