Tree branches broke from storms during the outdoor music festival near the city of Hasselt in Belgium on August 18.

'The scene is horrifying. The things that people set up all fall. People panicked ', Brinnie Gardner, a tourist from New Zealand, recounted.

Photos taken at the scene after the storm show many scaffolds and tents collapsed, and the vacant land becomes muddy.

'People try to run out of tents to sell food when it falls. They use a pocket knife to slash the tent fabric , 'said Laura Elegeert, a 17-year-old girl.

Hugo Simons, a health officer in Hasselt city, told the VRT station that the storm caused three deaths, 11 serious injuries and 60 minor injuries.

A video recorded by the on-site camera shows the stage equipment swinging because of strong winds while festival participants run in the rain and rocks to find shelter. Many branches around the area were broken, evidence of the sudden and sudden strength of the wind.

Pukkelpop music festival begins on August 18. It is planned to take place for three days. Festival organizers estimate about 60,000 people attend the music festival when the storm hits.
