Owen was a successful motorcycle repairman with a lovely wife and a 6-month-old son. However, persistent sinus problems have changed his life.

'I had a headache and could not breathe because my nostrils had to be completely hard. Doctors once prescribed me a decongestant that thought it was sinusitis, but my wife eventually forced me to meet a famous expert, ' recalled Owen.

On February 13, 2009, the famous doctor informed Owen of a lightning strike: he had an unspecified sinus epidermal cancer (SNUC) , a rare form of cancer affecting the nasal cavity and only one survival rate is 10%.

Most living SNUC patients are removed from the tumor at an early stage. However, in Owen's case, the cancer had spread to the extent that doctors had to remove half of his face, including his right eye, muscles and nerves on the right side.

'My olfactory ability has only a little left with the left side still holding. If I have a really strong scent, I can feel it , 'Mr. Owen confessed.

There was still a big hole in Owen's face that was once the location of the right eye. When removing dentures, you can use your fingers to pierce your mouth through the right eye socket.

Mr. Owen is no longer a motorbike repairer, but has found a more interesting job than being a zombie actor. He also earns extra income by attending lectures.
