For 10 years, Sulami couldn't sit up or even bend her body and had to use a new cane to help her walk. Sulami's life is very difficult and must rely entirely on the care of a 90-year-old grandmother.

According to Sragen Health Department, Sulami suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Ankylosing Spondylitis (ankylosing spondylitis). This is a chronic joint disease that is common in young men (over 90% of men and 80% of patients with under 30 years of age).

Characteristic manifestation of the disease is the phenomenon of inflammation of the joints in the axis (lumbar spine, cervical spine), joints and pelvic sides and large joints in the peripheral (hip joints, knee joints .). Initially the disease can cause back pain, stiffness and fatigue.

In some cases, this disease can be cured by physical therapy or medication.

Ankylosing spondylitis does not affect the patient's lifespan but causes many other serious diseases such as cardiovascular, spinal and kidney fractures.
