The strongest installation of observatory observatory

Atacama (ALMA) is the most powerful and most expensive radio observatory ever built. ALMA is installed at a height of 5,000m in the Andes, Chile . It's just a feat to calculate the huge amount of equipment to climb to mount correctly.

ALMA will decode a series of cosmic mysteries that people never knew, to find a solution to the formation of the universe, likened to the 'time machine' , which is completely perfected with the total cost. construction of 1.5 billion USD.

ALMA can observe planets that lie millions of miles away, even billions of light years, with 10 times sharper images than NASA's Hubble space telescope. This is the factor that helps scientists learn exactly what happens in the universe hundreds of millions of years ago.

Composed of 66 separate telescopes, ALMA is installed in a certain order, ALMA's sky observation capability will be greatly improved when they all turn in one direction.

Each individual antenna is 12m wide, weighing up to 100 tons. Located on a large steel pedestal, the antenna made of expanded carbon fiber changes the 'receiver aperture' from 152m to 16km, enabling them to observe extremely sharp images.

To move the 100-ton antennas, technologists must use a 700-hp two-engine truck. Each car has 28 tires to turn the antenna upside down. The great thing is that thousands of tons of equipment have been installed with the rigorous requirements of high technology accuracy under severe weather conditions and such difficult terrain.

The Andes mountains have very low humidity and very strong winds with temperatures ranging from -4 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Thin air, clear sky makes radio waves from the universe transmitted to Earth almost without disturbance or absorption.
