The sun did not sleep in Syalbard

Longyearbyen is located at the 78th latitude in the Norwegian island of Svalbard. Svalbard Island was formerly an uninhabited island, but now there are 1,100 people. The island is only 1,000 kilometers from the North Pole, and is home to whale hunters from Europe, Russia and North America.

Summer in the Arctic is synonymous with 24 hours of continuous sunshine, this time period is between April and mid-August. Meanwhile, the winter is covered in the darkness, lasting from the end of October to In the middle of February. In June, the hottest days of June only reached 4 degrees Celsius, and in January, the weather here averaged minus 30 degrees Celsius.
