From January 29, Mr. Nguyen Van Trong, CTV of the Asian Turtle Conservation Program (ATP) of Indo-Myanmar Conservation (IMC) was lucky to capture the image of a soft shell turtle in Dong Mo. bask. This is the only individual recorded in Vietnam, currently living in Dong Mo Lake, a suburb of Hanoi.

This soft-shell turtle has only three individuals recorded to survive in the world, in an extremely critical situation. Conservation organizations regularly carry out Sin-hoe population monitoring (Rafetus swinhoei) to monitor recorded individuals as well as to find other individuals that may be living in the wild.

The publication of images of Sin-hoe species (Rafetus swinhoei) in general and rare species in particular is often considered carefully in terms of image to ensure accuracy. Therefore, after more than a month, the new "tortoise" of Dong Mo appears on the information pages of turtle protection organizations.

According to ATP, regional monitoring of species distribution is a very important task to provide protection and increase human understanding of species.
