The most sad animal on the planet is about to be extinct

The world's poorest face fish is facing the risk of extinction, the oceanographers informed.

Oceanographers are concerned that blobfish, which can be more than 30 cm long, are in danger due to overfishing in the waters of southeastern Australia.

The blobfish's body always blisters, it has a head and a very big nose, its mouth is heavy, so many people have called blobfish with another name 'sad fish'. .

This fish lives below 800 m, rarely seen but they live on the same floor as other ocean creatures such as crabs, lobsters and other edible marine fishes. As a result, although the fish cannot be eaten, the blobfish are still caught with other creatures.

The fish with a sad face is at risk of extinction.

Marine experts, Professor Callum Roberts, from the University of York, said: 'Blobfish is very vulnerable to catching nets and according to what we know, this fish only lives in a limited area. Fishing fleets in Australia and New Zealand are very active while blobfish are slow fish, so they are very easy to catch. '

The author of the book 'The Natural History of the Sea' adds: 'There are some deep water areas around the ocean in the south that are protected but only stop protecting the coral, not blobfish'.

The southern waters of Australia only have fences to protect coral reefs, not to protect blobfish. Previously, fishermen often caught living creatures at depths of 200 m and this depth was increasing, now reaching several thousand meters.
