The world's largest gas exploitation vessel will be bigger than a carrier

With the goal of oil exploitation outside the ocean, Shell has planned to build the largest ship ever. It was named Prelude FLNG.

The capacity of the ship will be about 110,000 barrels of oil per day. It is estimated that its weight will reach 600,000 tons. Its length is more than the 5 football fields combined. This ship is designed to withstand a Category 5 storm. To make it, it is estimated that it will lose about 260,000 tons of steel - 5 times the amount of steel to build Sydney Harbor Bridge.
