Tighten forest fire prevention

The head of the Government requested the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Central Steering Committee for urgent issues in forest protection and forest fire prevention and control in coordination with the People's Committees of provinces and cities to direct and inspect the public. to prevent and fight forest fires in key localities to forests, especially where there is a high risk of fire.

The presidents of the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities must direct the provincial inter-branches to work out plans to ensure the permanent forces, supplies, equipment and logistics in order to be ready to coordinate with the force to respond in case of forest fire.

Besides, grassroots administrations organize permanent forces, patrol and protect forests. Organizing forest protection teams to check and prohibit those who do not commit suicide into the forest to illegally exploit forest products, not to bring fire, explosives and inflammables into the forest, the Prime Minister stressed.

Localities where forest fires and deforestation are serious must review and handle responsibilities for key officials involved.
