Telegraph said experts at the University of York in the UK interviewed 1,200 people aged 11 to 15 to learn the factors that motivate the level of satisfaction with teenage life. They raised a number of questions to assess the level of communication between teens and other family members, and asked them to assess their satisfaction with life on a scale of 100.
The results show that teenagers who regularly talk seriously with their father on most days of the week feel more satisfied with life than those who rarely do so. However, only 13% of children often confide in their secret things to their father. 45% of teens admit they almost never confess to their father important topics, while 28% say they do not discuss important issues with their mothers.
Experts also found that children tend to gradually reduce conversations with their father on important topics as they grow. For example, 42% of 11-year-olds confide in their father on important topics more than once a week, but only 16% of 15-year-olds do it.
The British Children Association believes that the finding is significant because many studies prove that the happiness of children in the later stages of life depends on the quality of their relationship with their parents. .
'This investigation shows that the level of satisfaction with a child's life depends closely on whether or not they often talk to their father. But in modern society, the number of children who do not like to talk to their father or live far more and more is increasing, ' said Bob Reitemeier, director of the British Children Association.
