Toilet system 'earthworms' do not smell

People who have used their nose to look for toilets at the La Providence golf course in Quebec, Canada do not do that now because all the toilets are completely 'smelly' ... thanks to an earthworm army. This is a dry and odorless toilet system of Ecosphere Technologies (Canada).

Underneath the toilet of Ecosphere Technologies, toilet floor has an army of earthworms (species Eisenia Fetida) massive task to turn waste of human debris on the floor or in the toilet bowl into compost, help clean smell ' stinky , "said AFP sales representative Frederic Neau of Ecosphere Technologies.

Helene Beaumont, a farmer in Quebec, imported the Eisenia earthworm troop from France to feed and later provided toilets with dry toilets at La Providence.

'The worms eat a lot, they will help clear up the stool and the wastes that are strewn on the floor. The 'earthworms' toilet can be used 10,000 times without repair or maintenance and absolutely no water, no odor , ' AFP quoted Beaumont.

Dehydrated and odorless toiletry products are being introduced in some water-shortage areas in Canada, France and Spain.

However, Ecosphere's toilet price is not cheap, offered for $ 40,800 / unit has cost the worm army.

Ecosphere says the worms are fast-growing and live long enough, so it does not cost much to maintain this type of toilet.
