After seeing the coins, the farmer contacted the region's archaeological agency. They took several months to unearth all coins. Some coins are stuffed in small leather bags.

The total weight of the coin is 15kg, including ancient Roman coins from the reign of the Aurelian emperor (270 - 275 years) to Maximian (year 286 - 305). The latest coin was born in 294.

The coins are in perfect condition with the print side still clear. Experts say they were withdrawn from circulation for a short time after casting, but the ancient people kept them by the value of copper and silver.

The area found a long history of coins, believed to be home to a large Roman population between the first and fourth centuries. Here, scientists once discovered the remnants of a The Roman palace from the second century along the main road passes through the town of Frick as well as a 4th-century fortress beneath the church building hill.

According to Swiss law, the treasure of coins belongs to public property and will be displayed at the Vindonissa de Brugg museum in Aargau.
