Dr. Adam Daubney, employee of antiquities agency Scheme, Lincolnshire said: "This is the biggest treasure discovery in the British civil war. Coins were buried about a few months after the civil war. Treasure value is 42 USD ".

The treasure is worth about $ 42, almost double the annual salary of a soldier in the British Civil War (1642-1649). It includes coins from Edward VI's King and Irish King, Queen Elizabeth I, King James I and King Charles I.

According to Dr. Adam Daubney, this is a big block of money at the time they are buried. It could be the property of a soldier before going to the battlefield and has never returned.

Chris Sardeson, a farmer, said: "I worked at the farm for 50 years. Perhaps I was the most surprised by this discovery."

During the British Civil War, the war between Parliament and the British royal side, many battles took place in the Lincolnshire area. The area between Grantham and Boston is the site of many early civil war battles.
