Turn on the wood touch sensor
Spanish researchers are developing a touch-sensitive technology for household appliances. With this technology, users just need to lighten the wooden wall to turn the lights off, not to switch, according to Reuters.
Ivan Arakistain, a researcher at the Institute of Technology in Tecnalia, Spain, is trying to wipe out the light switches.

The work of Arakistain at the Tecnalia Institute of Technology is to develop the Touch Wood project, which produces touch-sensitive household appliances.
"It's normal to attach a light switch to the back of your bed, so you need to do everything and it ruins the original look of the wall. Now, with touch-screen technology, the wall will remain intact , "Arakistain said.
Inductive wood uses a magnetic induction sensor technology from the user's hand to control the lamp.
'We use this technology in furniture and common household items, which do not matter in thickness , ' ' Arakistain said.
The Tecnalia Institute of Technology has introduced this technology to local furniture and home electric appliance manufacturers.
Researchers at Tecnalia say the new technology will be available in the market within a year and promises to make the switches obsolete.
Arakistain claims that once the touch pads are offered, people will feel bored with the usual household items.
