Mr. Tran Quoc Hai, one of the " Hai Lua airplanes " in Tay Ninh yesterday said he expected to come to Australia on November 26 or 27, to attend the Asian Contemporary Art Exhibition - Pacific held in Queensland state (Australia).
According to Mr. Hai, he has now completed the procedures and the Australian has also granted him a visa. All costs as well as other arising issues are funded by Australia.
Mr. Hai said, 1 year ago, a team of researchers came to his house to refer to the process of making the aircraft. They had offered to buy the plane to bring back to the exhibition but he did not agree. Then filmmaker Le Quang Dinh (Overseas Vietnamese) filmed the entire process of making this plane.
The Asia-Pacific contemporary art exhibition is held every 3 years, organized by the Queensland State Art Gallery under the support of the Queensland government. This year's exhibition is the 5th time, the largest with 270 works by 37 artists and filmmakers around the world participating. In particular, the work of Mr. Le Quang Dinh about Mr. Tran Quoc Hai has been chosen as one of three "works" of this year's exhibition along with two works of host country Australia and China.
