Unique architecture of the Cat mansion
Nearly a century ago, on the Dong Van stone plateau (Ha Giang), the Cat leader built a mansion both as a place to live and work, and to fight. The palace of the Vuong Dynasty, built in 8 years, costs 150,000 VND of white silver.
King's Palace is an interesting stop when visiting the stone plateau. The area of the mansion is 1,120m 2 built on Sa Phin valley (Dong Van, Ha Giang).On both sides of the road leading to the Vuong area is a row of vertical and green sycamore trees all year round.These mulch trees are brought from China, planted outside the walls.
Surrounding the Vuong house is surrounded by 2 rounds of stone walls, about 3 m high, with apricot holes.
The walls of the wall consisted of stone slabs, arranged in a circle around the house.Stone walls are a feature of H'Mong culture in Ha Giang.
The entrance to Vuong's house was 15 stone steps, consisting of large, square stones, carved in various patterns.
Curved gate, curving with bat wings - symbol of "happiness" .The wooden gate roof is beautifully carved, with many patterns.For nearly 100 years, the details that were cut thinly had not yet rotted.
In front of the house hanging a horizontal image consisting of four characters of Phong Phong Chinh, can be interpreted as a decree to rule the frontier domain.
The King's house was built with green stone, pine and terracotta tiles.The house is divided into a palace, a central palace and a palace with 4 horizontal houses and 6 vertical houses.All are built 2 floors, with a total of 64 rooms.
The house was built higher and higher from the outside to the inside, taking into account that the post-palace area was about 10 meters higher than the main entrance.In the middle of the houses are large, slate-covered yards.
According to the calculation of the homeowners, the rooms in the first house level are reserved for the next generation, the local army.The second home is the residence of three wives, children, servants.The third house is the rest room and discusses the work of Vuong Chinh Duc - the owner of the house.It was here that Mr. Duc tried criminals or discussed large opium trafficking missions.
There are also food warehouses, opium depots and arsenal.Stacked roof system, characterized by Chinese and Chinese architecture.
Right after building this house, King Vuong Duc Duc calculated it to be a fortress, able to defend and fight, withstand time and nature.The house is built of eternal blue stone, rocky pine wood is very hard and good in termite resistance.Blue-green yin-yang tiles can resist heavy hail - the harsh weather here.
The King's house has a roof of trough tiles, a porch with a decorative tile of "life" shaped patterns.
Pine wooden doors, carved with unique patterns.In addition to the cherry blossoms, it is easy to see on each door a big poppy flower.
The legs tie the house with a stone ball or poppy shape.Legend has it that the best workers in Van Nam at that time carved and then used white silver to grind the ball of the pillar of the house, into a bronze color for the dried poppy fruit.It can be seen in the house there are many types of architecture, poppy flower pattern.
The other columns are also made of blue stone and painted with tiger patterns, dragon phoenix .
In the mansion also retains some daily items of the Vuong family such as altars, wardrobes, desks, dining tables, rice mortars .
Vuong Chinh Duc's goat milk bath is carved into a semicircle.
Adjacent to the palace is two blocks, containing gunpowder.Two blocks built with blue stone, 3 stories high, in which the first floor is connected to Vuong Chinh Duc's bedroom in the rear.
Two stone guard huts all have apricot holes.From here can be seen from all sides, easy to detect and fight when there are intruders.
In addition to the main house system, there are a number of separate buildings such as toilets, warehouses, stables and stables. In particular, the Vuong house has a large tank, with a capacity of 300m 3 , which catches enough rain water all year round.According to some documents, the amount spent for the whole house is 150,000 VND white silver, in which the water tank costs 700 white silver.
The man who built the mansion was Vuong Chinh Duc. Duc is the leader of the H'Mong compatriots in Ha Giang, famous for being rich in opium trading. When the August Revolution broke out, the father and son of King Chengde and Wang Zhuge (Wang Zhuge) collaborated with the Viet Minh to drive away Japan and France. Vuong Chi Sinh followed the revolution, became the first member of the National Assembly and was awarded by President Ho Chi Minh to have a sentence for "To reach the national media / No slaves".
In 1993, the Vuong Dynasty was ranked as an architectural art monument.By 2004, the State spent 7.5 billion VND to restore the whole monument.Restoration is carried out on the principle of conservation.
