The project started 15 years ago, when Paul Hansord, the director of Thompson & Morgan, on a trip to America. He discovered a potato growing in a tomato plant and learned that it could be paired together because they belonged to the same family.

He was thinking about how to develop this idea to replicate for sale. After a long time of experimenting with the help of transplant experts, he created this unique plant.
