In the face of this suffering, an intelligent curtain-holder called the Archelis (Japanese for " walking chair" ) was born to help surgeons.

Archelis was developed by the Yokohama-based Nitto mold factory in collaboration with the Chiba University Medical Center, Hiroaki Nishimura Design and Japan Polymer Technology.

This smart device can create an invisible artificial chair for the wearer. As a result, surgeons can sit comfortably to reduce fatigue during prolonged surgeries.

Although only developed in the health sector, in the future, the product can also be used in many other industries.
