USD 700,000 improves nutrition for children in Central Vietnam
More than 1,500 children belong to 46 kindergartens in Gio Linh district (Quang Tri) and 350 children from 11 kindergartens in Phu Vang and Phu Loc districts (Thua Thien - Hue) are entitled to the program of improving nutritional status due to Abbott Humanitarian Fund, Am Foundation
More than 1,500 children belong to 46 kindergartens in Gio Linh district (Quang Tri) and 350 children from 11 kindergartens in Phu Vang and Phu Loc districts (Thua Thien - Hue) are entitled to the program of improving nutritional status due to Abbott Humanitarian Fund, AmeriCare Fund and Giao Diem Charitable Organization coordinate to organize starting from 12-9.
They will be provided with daily nutrition milk throughout the 2006-2007 school year. Some specially malnourished children are provided with high-quality milk powder and supplements and calcium. The total operating cost in this round is about 700,000 USD.
Earlier in September 2006, nearly 70 children of Dong Thap province also enjoyed the same program.
