Use a magnet to control the brain

A team of researchers in Estonia says they can use magnets to impact a person's brain to make him or her unable to lie.

According to the Daily Mail, the researchers Estonia detection, when the magnet interference in the right side or left side of the cortex prefrontal dorsolateral (Dorsolateral prefrontal cortex) right behind the forehead, it will make you lie or tell the truth, depending on the receiver. When the direction of the magnet's impact on the other part of the brain - the parietal lobe, the subject's decision-making is unchanged.

"Natural choices for lying more or less can be influenced by stimulation into the brain," Inga Karton and Talis Bachmann wrote in a report published in the journal Behavioral Brain Research.

The team tested 16 volunteers by giving them different colored plates. Half of these subjects received magnetic stimulation on the right side of the frontal cortex, while the other received magnetic stimulation on the left.

Volunteers were offered the option of lying or telling the truth about the color of the discs distributed earlier. The results showed that the recipients of the stimulus on the left lied more, while the recipients of the right stimulus were more honest.

Last year, US scientists have discovered that magnets can also be used to break the "moral compass" of the brain. The area just behind the right ear has increased in activity when we think about the wrong or correct behavior of others.

In an unusual experiment, US researchers have been able to use powerful magnets to disrupt this area of the brain and make the subject less likely to adhere to moral principles. Research shows that our perceptions of right and wrong are based not only on the basis of nurture, religion or philosophy but also on the biological structure of our brains.
