Use art to protect the natural environment

With his artistic talent, 51-year-old American painter Robert Wyland has contributed to protecting the environment with nearly 100 giant paintings painted on the wall for over 26 years. The artist is working on a plan to use art to raise awareness of environmental protection and promote children's artistic abilities.

Large paintings of whales and oceans are made by Wyland on large walls in parking lots, high-rise buildings, convention centers, hotels . around the world. In it, Wyland has shown the love of the sea and the belief of changing people's perceptions of environmental protection by art.

Currently, Wyland and colleagues in the non-profit organization Wyland Foundation are implementing campaign to protect and save clean water across the United States. The first mural of this campaign began on October 7 in the city of Atlanta. When making this picture, Wyland invited the children to join.

'I was with the children drawing the whales, it was interesting to have children working together. Some of you are very gifted , 'Wyland said. 'When children draw animals they like, they will have attitudes and perceptions to protect animals. Children will become environmentalists later. '
