Use natural waterfalls to produce ice
After many times through Hai Van Pass, discovering many non-stop waterfalls, Associate Professor-Ph.D Vo Chi Chinh - lecturer of Polytechnic University (Da Nang University), had the idea of utilizing self-flow course for ice production.
His scientific topic, 'Research, design and manufacture of cold equipment systems using waterfall energy and natural flow to produce ice for life' has been tested and accepted at Da University. Nang and is appreciated.

After more than a year of experimentation, the assistant professor has successfully fabricated the cooling equipment system using waterfalls and natural flows to produce ice water for some households in Lang Co (Thua Thien-Hue). ).
This system consists of a water jet that receives energy from a high waterfall or flows under a stream, turns and drives a cold compressor. The refrigeration compressor operates to push the medium onto the condenser.
The above cooling system can produce 200kg of stone per day. If you want to increase the capacity of the machine, just increase the water flow and the size of the reel to increase compressor capacity and accelerate the cooling process.
Associate Professor Chinh said that the total investment for this cooling system is about VND 12 million. In order to reduce the initial installation cost, water wheels can be replaced with cheap materials such as wood, bamboo .
This research has set the premise to exploit waterfalls and flows of Hai Van Pass area to produce ice for fishing boats of Da Nang city.
If applied, the project will help take advantage of the natural energy resources of the waterfalls, the flow of capital is very much in Vietnam to turn the compressors to freeze ice and serve the purposes. Other cooling.
