Although landing as a helicopter by rotating the engine, Lilium operates like an efficient aircraft with speeds up to 400km / h.Thanks to running completely on electricity, the aircraft was less noisy than the helicopter when taking off.

Lilium is included in the Light Sports Aircraft sub-group for two passengers.The driver only needs to attend a maximum of 20 hours of training to obtain a pilot's license, similar to a driver's license test.The aircraft serves daytime entertainment, in good weather conditions and in an unobstructed airspace at three kilometers or less.

Driving the inner city aircraft must follow the instructions of the air traffic control agency.The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) also established a flight route throughout the city, similar to the above routes so that pilots cannot follow.They are only allowed to deviate to the right route to avoid other planes.
